Cyclone ‘Fengal’ impacting Nepal’s weather

KATHMANDU: Westerly winds are currently affecting the country, and the Meteorological Forecasting Division has reported that Cyclone ‘Fengal,’ which developed in the Bay of Bengal, is having a partial impact on Nepal’s weather.

As of Sunday morning, the weather across the country is mostly clear, although some areas in the Terai region are experiencing mist and fog.

This afternoon, the weather will remain partly cloudy in the hilly areas of Koshi, Madhes, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, while the rest of the country will remain mostly clear.

The Division also predicts light snowfall in a few places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki and Karnali provinces.

Tonight, the weather will remain partly cloudy in the hilly areas of Koshi, Madhes, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, with clear skies expected in other areas.

The bulletin from the Division also mentioned the possibility of light snowfall in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki and Karnali provinces.
