KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that the country is experiencing the general influence of westerly winds.

Currently, the weather is partly cloudy in the hilly regions, with clear skies in the rest of the country. Some areas in the Tarai and a few locations in the hills are experiencing haze.

According to the Department, this afternoon, the weather will remain partly cloudy in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, while the rest of the country will have clear skies.

There is a possibility of light rain in a few places in the hills of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and light snowfall in some areas of the high hills and mountainous regions.

Tonight, the weather will be partly cloudy in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, with clear skies elsewhere.

Light rain is likely in one or two places in the hilly parts of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

The Department has advised the public to stay alert, as this weather may impact agriculture, health, tourism, mountaineering, as well as road and air transport.

It has also warned of the possibility of light rain and snowfall in the mentioned areas over the next 24 hours.
