Father dies in motorcycle accident in Udaypur; two sons injured



UDAYPUR: A father died and his two sons were injured in a motorcycle accident in Triyuga, Udayapur.

Mahadev Chaudhary, 45, of Triyuga Municipality-13, died in the accident that occurred last evening, according to DSP Rajan Chapagain of the District Police Office, Udayapur.

The accident happened when a motorcycle (Pra 1-05-001 Pa 4273) collided with a tractor (Sa 1 Ta 5742) that was coming from the opposite direction at Danuwari Chowk on the Mid-Hill Highway, police said.

The two injured sons are currently out of danger.

Chaudhary’s sons, 15-year-old Diwakar and 10-year-old Krishna, were initially treated at the District Hospital in Gaighat before being transferred to Biratnagar for further care.

Chaudhary was returning home from Gaighat with his sons on the motorcycle when the accident occurred. Police believe that speeding may have contributed to the crash.

Following the incident, the tractor driver was taken into custody, and the body of the deceased has been sent to the district hospital morgue for a postmortem examination.
