KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has predicted rainfall in most parts of the country on Thursday.

The MFD office has predicted partly to generally cloudy condition with chances of light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning and thunder today.

This has been attributed to the shifting of the monsoon low-pressure isobar southwards from its normal position.

Meteorologist Ganga Nagarkoti said the country’s weather on Thursday will be cloudy with the possibility of light to moderate rain together due to the influence of the low-pressure trough.

According to Nagarkoti, the monsoon weather activity has currently become active in the country’s eastern and central parts.

She added that there is a possibility of heavy rain in most parts of the country since the evening on Friday.

Likewise, partly to generally cloudy condition will prevail on Friday and Saturday as well throughout the country.
