School headmaster injured in shooting in Makwanpur



KATHMANDU: Headmaster Prem Lama of Hatti Sune Secondary School was injured in a shooting incident near the border of Makwanpur in Chandrapur Municipality-1, Rautahat.

An unknown group reportedly opened fire, striking Lama in the right cheek as he was traveling on the road from Jogi Khola toward Raigaon in Makwanpur.

Following the attack, local resident Samirbabu Karki confirmed that Lama was immediately transported to Birgunj for medical treatment. His current condition remains undisclosed.

In response to the incident, a police team led by Sub-Inspector Kundan Singh from Paurahi Police Station has arrived at the scene to investigate.

Authorities are working to gather more details on the attackers and the motive behind the shooting.
