Cyclone ‘Dana’, westerly winds impacting Nepal’s weather



KATHMANDU: Westerly winds have influenced Nepal’s weather, with a partial impact from Cyclone ‘Dana’ developing in the Bay of Bengal.

As of Saturday morning, the Koshi Province is experiencing partly to mostly cloudy conditions.

According to the Weather Forecast Division, similar partial changes are occurring in other parts of the country, while the Kathmandu Valley remains cloudy and hazy.

This afternoon, the hilly areas, including the Koshi Province, are expected to stay partly to mostly cloudy.

The rest of the country will likely see partly cloudy to mostly clear skies.

However, there is a chance of light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in isolated locations in the hilly regions.

The Division has predicted light rain tonight in the hilly areas, including the Koshi Province, while the rest of the country will enjoy partly cloudy to mostly clear weather.

The bulletin issued on Saturday morning has indicated the possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning in one or two spots within the hilly areas of Koshi Province.
