Westerly winds bring cloudy conditions and rain



KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has reported the current influence of westerly winds across the country, along with some effects from local winds.

According to the Division, the weather is partly cloudy to mostly cloudy in several areas, including the Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while the rest of the regions are experiencing mostly clear skies.

Light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunder and lightning, is occurring in some areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Karnali provinces, as well as in select hilly regions of Gandaki and Sudurpaschim provinces.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy to mostly clear in the remaining hilly areas, including Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rain, along with thunder and lightning, in a few places across Koshi Province, Madhesh Province, Bagmati Province, and other hilly areas.

Tonight, the weather will be partly cloudy to mostly clear in the remaining hilly regions, including Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini.

However, there is still a chance of light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, in some areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.
