Monsoon weather patterns impacting multiple provinces



KATHMANDU: The Monsoon is currently affecting Nepal’s Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.

Additionally, the Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces are experiencing the influence of westerly winds.

According to the Weather Forecast Division, a low-pressure system in Bihar and surrounding areas of India is having a partial effect on the eastern and central parts of the country.

As of Tuesday morning, the weather in the hilly areas is partly cloudy, with light rain reported in a few locations of Koshi and Bagmati provinces.

This afternoon, Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces are expected to remain partly to mostly cloudy. The rest of the country is anticipated to have mostly clear weather.

In the afternoon, light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, is likely at a few locations in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in one or two places in the hilly areas of the remaining provinces.

The Weather Forecast Division has also projected partly to mostly cloudy weather in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces tonight, while the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to mainly clear skies.

The bulletin issued by the Division this morning mentions the possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in a few places of Koshi, Madhes, and Bagmati provinces, as well as a couple of locations in Gandaki Province.
