Woman dies during childbirth in Bajura



BAJURA: A woman dies during childbirth at the district hospital, Bajura. Basanti Nepali of Badimalika municipality-7 died from excessive bleeding, said doctors.

Doctors Durga Maharjan and Tikaram Rai used a vacuum device to guide the infant out of the birth canal following the mother’s inability to deliver the baby normally, said Dr. Rohit Giri.

The deceased’s family blamed negligence on the part of the doctors involved in her treatment for her death. ‘Doctors did not show concerns in her treatment,’ said deceased’s relative Prakash Bahadur Nepali. The deceased’s husband is in Kuwait for a job.
