KATHMANDU: A devastating series of floods and landslides triggered by relentless rains last Friday and Saturday has resulted in 192 deaths and 30 individuals reported missing.

Home Ministry spokesperson Rishi Ram Tiwari said that 194 people have sustained injuries from the disaster.

All security agencies have been mobilized for search, rescue, and relief efforts, with more than 4,500 disaster victims successfully rescued thus far.

Tiwari stated that food and other emergency relief materials have been provided to the victims, and the injured are receiving free medical treatment.

The government has prioritized search, rescue, and relief operations.

Additionally, efforts are underway to reopen blocked highways for traffic.
