Stringent punitive measures likely for social media offenders



Government has registered a bill regarding Information Technology proposing serious punitive measures for the offenders. The bill proposes fine upto Rs. 1.5 million and an imprisonment upto five years or both for those posting or propagating offensive contents on social media, reports The Himalayan Times.
