Journalists’ issues to be addressed through Press Registrar



KASKI: Gandaki Province Chief Minister Surendra Raj Pandey has said that issues related to journalists will be resolved through the newly appointed press registrar.

CM Pande made the statement following the appointment of journalist Bimala Bhandari as press registrar by the Province Council of Ministers. Bhandari has also taken the oath of office.

This appointment follows the recent passage of the Mass Communication Bill by the Gandaki Province Assembly.

Chief Minister Pande emphasized that media-related issues will be addressed according to the Mass Communication Act.

He stressed the importance of journalism in reinforcing democracy and federalism.

In response, Press Registrar Bhandari pledged to work diligently for the rights of journalists in Gandaki Province in accordance with the legal mandate.
