Monsoon winds contributing to varied weather conditions



KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecast Division has reported that the low-pressure system affecting Indian state of West Bengal, combined with the influence of monsoon winds across the country, is contributing to varied weather conditions.

Currently, parts of the country are experiencing partial to general rainfall.

Light to moderate rain is being observed in a few areas of Koshi and Bagmati provinces, as well as sporadically in other provinces.

This afternoon, expect partly to mostly cloudy conditions nationwide.

Light to moderate rain with possible thunder and lightning is likely in Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and some areas of Sudurpaschim Province, as well as isolated locations in other provinces.

There is also a chance of windstorms in the Terai region of Koshi Province and a few places in Madhes Province. Heavy rain is possible in one or two areas of Sudurpaschim Province.

Tonight, the Division has predicted partly to mostly cloudy skies in Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Other provinces will see partly cloudy to mostly clear conditions.
