Light to moderate rain expected today



KATHMANDU: The country remains under the influence of monsoon winds, with the monsoon trough positioned south of its usual location.

As of Sunday morning, the weather is partly to mostly cloudy across the country.

According to the Weather Forecast Division, some areas of Gandaki and Karnali provinces are witnessing light rainfall.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to stay partly to mostly cloudy nationwide.

Meanwhile, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, in some areas of Koshi, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as a few places in Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

The Division has also forecasted the potential for heavy rain in one or two locations within Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

Tonight, the weather is expected to remain partly to mostly cloudy.
