Dry landslide obstructs Jaya Prithvi Highway

BAJHANG: A dry landslide has blocked the Jaya Prithvi highway since this morning.

The landslide occurred at Tamail Bazaar around 7:00 am, obstructing the road.

Vehicles playing on both long and short routes to and fro Chainpur have been unable to operate their service following the road obstruction.

A bus entrepreneur Jog Bahadur Daulyal shared that only five buses headed towards their destinations via Chainpur this morning while other buses have remained stranded.

The efforts to resume the transport service were in vain as dry landslide is continuously taking place, said Chief District Officer, Bishwo Mitra Kuinkel.
