CHITWAN: A bus and a truck collided at Bharatpur-29 Simaltal on the Narayangadh-Muglin road section of Chitwan.

The police reported that some bus passengers were injured in the accident, which occurred around 7 am today (Sunday).

According to DSP Bhesraj Rizal, Information Officer at the District Police Office Chitwan, the collision involved a truck with the registration number Ga 2 Ba 1108, which was traveling from Muglin to Chitwan, and an Indian bus with the registration number R 01 T 6372, which was en route to Kathmandu from Chitwan.

The truck driver, 28-year-old Rajan Chhetri from Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality-3 in Dhading, sustained minor injuries.

In addition, 30-year-old Manj Rawal Barai and his 6-year-old son Ashish Rawal Barai, from Adarsh Deval Rural Municipality-5 in Bara, were also injured.

The bus driver has fled the scene, and SP Rizal reported that efforts are underway to locate him.
