Three workers die from suffocation inside safety tank in Nawalparasi



NAWALPARASI: Three workers died from suffocation while working inside an under-construction safety tank in Binayi-Triveni Rural Municipality-7, Raninagar, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East).

The workers, who lost consciousness while inside the safety tank at the under-construction house of Bhola Singh Chhetri, were rescued but died during treatment.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Bed Bahadur Poudel from the District Police Office, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East), the deceased were identified as Prakash Singh Chhetri, 38, Ganesh Bogati, 19, and Mohammad Raja, 28, all from Binayi-Triveni Rural Municipality-7.

They were taken to Bhairahawa Medical College in Rupandehi, where doctors pronounced them dead.

Two of the bodies are currently at Bhim Hospital in Bhairahawa, Rupandehi, and the third is at Prithvi Chandra District Hospital in Nawalparasi (West).

A further investigation into the incident is underway.
