Constitution can be amended to meet national needs, says PM Oli

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli stated that the constitution can be amended based on the experiences gained from its implementation and in line with the aspirations of the people and the needs of the nation.

He emphasized that any amendments will be made with the consent of all political parties.

Addressing MPs during today’s House of Representatives meeting, PM Oli noted that positive signs have begun to emerge in the economy shortly after the formation of the government.

He highlighted that both revenue mobilization and capital expenditure in the month of Shrawan in the current fiscal year have increased compared to the previous year.

The Prime Minister also pointed to significant improvements in the capital market and expressed optimism about the rising morale and enthusiasm for investment in the private sector.

He attributed these positive developments to the government’s policies aimed at achieving the nation’s stated objectives.

“Major parties, including the CPN (UML) and Nepali Congress, have united to guide the country toward political stability, corruption control, good governance, economic development, social justice, and prosperity,” said PM Oli.

He reiterated the government’s commitment to a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption, stressing that corruption control should be pursued through judicial investigations and must be result-oriented, rather than merely rhetorical.
