KATHMANDU: One-way traffic has resumed at Nagdhunga, a major entry and exit point to the federal capital, after being blocked due to a landslide earlier today.

The road, located in Chandragiri Municipality-2 of Kathmandu, was obstructed since 10:30 a.m. this morning.

According to Police Range Thankot, the road was reopened for one-way traffic at 5:00 p.m.

The continuous rain and subsequent landslide caused delays in clearing the road.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Surya Prakash Subedi, Head of Thankot Police Range, warned of the possibility of further landslides if rainfall persists.

The police are using loudspeakers to advise travelers to avoid the route if possible.

The landslide occurred near Nag Mandir, a few hundred meters from Nagadhunga Chowk, leaving hundreds of travelers stranded on either side of the blocked road.
