Woman murdered in land dispute in Myagdi



MYAGDI: A woman was murdered in a land dispute in Malika Rural Municipality-3, Myagdi.

According to the district police office, 35-year-old Dalbir Sripali fatally attacked 43-year-old Binakumari BK from the same locality with a sharp weapon last night in Galkot, Dandagaon.

Police Inspector Rajan Rayamajhi from the District Police Office stated that Dalbir Sripali was arrested late at night by a team from the Area Police Office, Darwang, in Khaten village.

At the crime scene, police discovered axes, stakes, and sickles.

The victim sustained head injuries. Ward President Motiprasad Budha said that the murder stemmed from an ongoing dispute over land transactions between the two, who are related.

Inspector Rayamajhi added that further investigation into the incident is underway.
