Govt laid foundation for prosperity: PM Oli

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Thursday said his government has laid a solid foundation for development in the past one year and that his administration now would focus on achieving the goal of ‘Prosperous Nepal and Happy Nepali’ envisioned by the government, reported The Kathmandu Post.

Addressing the nation, Oli highlighted the progress ranging from governance to foreign policy to economic indicators to institutionalization of federalism to formation of laws as the major achievements of his government in the past one year.

However, main opposition Nepali Congress rejected outright the facts and figures presented by Oli in his speech arguing that corruption has taken massive its toll on governance, while depressing economic indicators have spoiled the economic outlook, said the report.
