Cabinet Decisions: Promotions and transfers of civil employees and security officials

KATHMANDU: In a meeting held on Tuesday evening, the Council of Ministers decided on the promotion and transfer of several civil employees and security officials.

The government promoted two joint secretaries and one Deputy Inspector General (DIG).

Additionally, four Additional Inspectors General (AIG) of Nepal Police have been transferred.

The newly promoted secretaries are Arun Chandra Shrestha (law stream) and Parasar Dhungana.

Shrestha has been appointed to the Commission for Truth and Reconciliation, while Dhungana has been appointed to the Nepal Law Commission.

Minister for Communications and Information Technology Prithvi Subba shared this information at a news conference on Tuesday.

He also announced the promotion of Deputy Inspector General of Nepal Police, Ram Datt Joshi, to Additional Inspector General of Nepal Police.

The government spokesperson further informed that AIG Dipak Thapa has been transferred to the Central Investigation Bureau from the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, replacing AIG Shyamlal Gyawali, who has been transferred to the Province Coordination Department at Police Headquarters, Naxal.

AIG Kiran Bajracharya, currently at Police Headquarters, has been appointed to the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, Ranipokhari.

Recently promoted AIG Ram Datt Joshi has been assigned to the Police Headquarters.
