KATHMANDU: Rajkumar Nakarmi, the Mayor of Kirtipur Municipality, has passed away.
Madhav Prasad Dhakal, the Chief Administrative Officer of the municipality, stated that Nakarmi died during treatment at Bir Hospital last night.
In light of Nakarmi’s passing, the entire municipality has been granted mourning leave for today.
Dhakal announced that Nakarmi’s body will be brought to Kirtipur Municipality at 9 a.m. for public respects, with the funeral proceedings to follow.
Nakarmi had been battling kidney disease for an extended period.
