Weather: Moderate rain expected today



KATHMANDU: Light to moderate rain is expected in several provinces today.

According to the Weather Forecast Division, the country is currently under the influence of monsoon winds, with the monsoon low pressure line located around its normal place.

The Division has reported a general weather change across the country.

Parts of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces are experiencing light to moderate rains, while a few places in other provinces are also seeing similar conditions.

This afternoon, it will be partly to mostly cloudy nationwide, with chances of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and in scattered locations in other provinces.

Tonight, the weather will remain partly to mostly cloudy across the country, with chances of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and in a few places elsewhere.

Additionally, the Division has alerted to the possibility of heavy rain in isolated areas of Karnali province within the next 24 hours.

It has also advised caution in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in scattered locations in other provinces, due to the possibility of heavy rainfall in one or two places of Karnali.
