Karnali Province intensifies construction of school buildings



SURKHET: The Ministry of Social Development of Karnali Province has intensified infrastructure development of schools in 79 local levels of 10 districts.

The province has prioritized ‘School Educational Infrastructure Programme’ and intensified the construction of school buildings.

In Jumla, which has eight local levels, school buildings have been constructed in four rural municipalities, while six buildings are constructed in six municipalities in Rukum West.

A budget of Rs 45 million has been allocated for the construction of school buildings in all the nine municipalities of Kalikot.

Dhan Bahadur Shahi, chief of the Social Development Office, shared that work has been carried out as per allocated budget in eight municipalities in Dolpa.

There are plans to construct school buildings in nine local levels of Surkhet, but work has been completed in seven local levels.

Similarly, construction of 11 school buildings has been started in 11 municipalities of Salyan district.

Construction of buildings has started in 11 local levels of Dailekh as well.

According to the ministry, Rs 55 million has been allocated to build the school buildings in Dailekh this year.
