Bodies of two people swept away by Rapti river found

DANG: The bodies of two individuals who had gone missing after being swept away by the Rapti River have been found.

Maniram Chaudhary, 62, a resident of Nayabasti in Lamahi Municipality-7, went missing during the floods on Saturday.

His body was discovered about 500 meters from where he disappeared, according to Lal Bahadur Shrestha, Chief of the Amiliya Area Police Office.

Similarly, 17-year-old Rajkumar Yadav, a resident of Bela in Rajpur Rural Municipality-2, went missing in the Rapti River on Saturday morning while returning home after selling milk.

Yadav’s body was found about 150 meters west of Hasnapur Ghat.

On Saturday, Tularam Yadav, 48, and Dayaram Yadav, 40, also residents of Bela in Rajpur Rural Municipality-2, were safely rescued from Hasnapur Ghat by a team deployed from the Armed Police Force Nepal.
