KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today.
According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs 153.28, while the selling rate is Rs 153.88.
The buying rate of one euro has been fixed at Rs 173.76 and the selling rate at Rs 174.44. Similarly, the buying rate of one British pound sterling is Rs 202.71 and the selling rate is Rs 203.50, while one Swiss franc has been fixed at Rs 183.65 for buying and Rs 184.36 for selling.
The buying rate of one Australian dollar has been set at Rs 107.04 and the selling rate at Rs 107.45. The corresponding rates for one Canadian dollar are Rs 107.94 and Rs 108.37, while one Singapore dollar is set at Rs 119.82 for buying and Rs 120.29 for selling.
For other currencies, the buying and selling rates have been fixed at Rs 9.72 and Rs 9.76 for 10 Japanese yen, Rs 22.86 and Rs 22.95 for one Chinese yuan, Rs 40.82 and Rs 40.98 for one Saudi Arabian riyal, and Rs 42.05 and Rs 42.22 for one Qatari riyal.
Similarly, the buying rate of one Thai baht is Rs 4.56 and the selling rate is Rs 4.58. One UAE dirham has been fixed at Rs 41.73 for buying and Rs 41.90 for selling, while one Malaysian ringgit is set at Rs 37.56 and Rs 37.71, respectively.
The buying and selling rates for 100 South Korean won have been fixed at Rs 11.29 and Rs 11.34, respectively. One Swedish krona is set at Rs 15.32 for buying and Rs 15.38 for selling, while one Danish krone is fixed at Rs 23.24 and Rs 23.34, respectively.
Similarly, the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar is Rs 19.54 and the selling rate is Rs 19.61. One Kuwaiti dinar has been fixed at Rs 498.15 for buying and Rs 500.10 for selling, while one Bahraini dinar is set at Rs 406.58 and Rs 408.17, respectively. The buying and selling rates of one Omani rial are Rs 398.12 and Rs 399.68.
The buying rate of 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160, while the selling rate is also Rs 160.
Nepal Rastra Bank said the exchange rates may be revised at any time if necessary. It also noted that exchange rates quoted by commercial banks may differ from the central bank’s rates. Updated rates are available on the Nepal Rastra Bank website.
