A meeting of the upper house endorsed the bill with the concerned ministers responding to the questions raised in the course of deliberations on various headings of the Appropriation Bill.

The National Assembly meeting unanimously passed the bill when Assembly Chair Narayan Prasad Dahal put the bill along with the message received from the House of Representatives to a decision.

Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun had presented a proposal in the meeting seeking the passage of the bill.

The Appropriation Bill passed by both houses of the Federal Parliament will come into effect from the first day of the new fiscal year (July 16, 2024) after the President authenticates it.
