Monsoon impact: Heavy rains expected in some provinces



KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has stated that the country is currently under the influence of monsoon wind.

According to the Division, in specific, regions in the Koshi, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces, along with other areas in the remaining provinces, are currently experiencing light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning.

This afternoon, skies are expected to remain overcast, with a likelihood of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in many parts of the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in some areas of the other provinces.

Moreover, heavy rainfall is anticipated in certain areas of the Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in Lumbini and a few spots in Sudurpaschim Province.

Tonight, the country is forecasted to experience cloudy conditions, with prospects of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in numerous locations across the Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, and isolated areas elsewhere.
