KATHMANDU: Major political parties have yet to reach an agreement on the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) Bill.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal summoned a meeting with key political parties on Thursday at Baluwatar, but the meeting ended without consensus on the bill.

Leaders from the Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Center), and CPN-UML were present.

According to Law Minister Padam Giri, the parties have yet to agree on four major points in the bill.

“The meeting is scheduled to continue today, and the parties hope to reach an agreement on these points soon,” said Minister Giri.

The parties are particularly focused on issues related to human rights violations, compensation for children enlisted in the military, and support for conflict victims.
