Three-member committee formed to address federal parliament staff demands

KATHMANDU: A three-member Committee, coordinated by Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Padam Giri, has been established to address the demands of Federal Parliament Secretariat employees.

The decision to form the Committee was made following a meeting today at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar, initiated by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.

Joining Minister Giri on the Committee are Federal Parliament Secretary-General Padma Prasad Pandey and Finance Secretary Madhu Kumar Marasini.

Participants in the meeting included Speaker Devraj Ghimire, National Assembly (NA) Chairperson Narayan Prasad Dahal, former Prime Minister and CPN (UML) Chair KP Sharma Oli, Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun, and Chief Secretary Dr. Baikuntha Aryal.

Federal Parliament Secretary-General Pandey was also present.

According to the Speaker’s press advisor Shekhar Adhikari, Speaker Ghimire has been actively engaged in formal and informal discussions with relevant stakeholders concerning the concerns of Federal Parliament employees.
