KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has announced that the party will adopt a direct election system to end the nomination process in the coming days, in adherence to its statute convention.

Addressing the fourth full meeting of the ANNISU (Revolutionary) today, Chair Dahal, who is also the Prime Minister, asserted that the election system would be enforced in all party elections.

“The statute convention decided to adopt direct elections in the party,” he said, adding, “There will be no nomination system in the party. The directly elected system will be practiced in the student organization as well.”

Emphasizing the need to unite all communists in Nepal, Chair Dahal stated that the party under his leadership should be capable of leading a united communist party.

“Our party is gradually becoming stronger with growing public support,” Dahal claimed.

“We can achieve many things in unison, so it is our responsibility to work with people with a high level of confidence.”

He highlighted that Nepal’s representation has recently become stronger in international forums, conveying a powerful message to the world.

Chair Dahal noted that the Maoist Centre is advancing as a decisive force and aims to become central in national politics.

He further emphasized that the Maoist Centre is supreme in terms of political thought and dynamics with public trust.

“There is no possibility for any force to suppress and exterminate the Maoists. We are leading in the present time as well,” the Maoist Centre Chairperson added.

Chair Dahal expressed confidence that the ANNISU (Revolutionary) would secure the top position in the upcoming student elections if they worked with high confidence and unity.
