Partial influence of Cyclone 'Remal' affecting weather conditions

KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has stated that local winds and the partial influence of Cyclone ‘Remal’ in the eastern part of the country are affecting current weather conditions.

According to the Division, Koshi Province is experiencing general changes.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is occurring in a few places in Koshi Province, and light rain is taking place in one or two places in the hilly areas of Bagmati Province.

The weather is partly to mostly cloudy in the hilly areas of the country, while the rest of the country remains mostly clear.

This afternoon, the weather will remain partly cloudy in the mountainous areas of the country, including Bagmati, Madhesh, Koshi, and Gandaki provinces.

Likewise, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some places of Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati provinces, a few places in Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, and one or two places in the remaining hilly areas.

There is also a possibility of light to moderate snowfall in a few places in the high hills and Himalayan areas of Koshi and Bagmati provinces.

Tonight, the weather will be mostly clear in Koshi province, and partial to mostly cloudy in Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki regions, and the rest of the hilly areas.
