Trishuli 3B Hub Station inaugurated on Friday



KATHMANDU: The Trishuli 3B Hub Station, constructed as part of the Chilime-Trishuli 220 kV transmission line project at Pahirebensi in the Kispang rural municipality of Nuwakot, has been inaugurated.

The substation has a capacity of 220/132/33 kV.

Similarly, the 33/11 kV power distribution substation built at Bhalche in the Kispang rural municipality was also inaugurated on Friday.

This substation was developed as part of an electrification program, demonstrating the project’s corporate social responsibility.

Minister for Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation, Shakti Bahadur Basnet, along with Myriam Ferran, the European Commission’s Deputy Director-General for International Partnerships, Veronique Lorenzo, the European Union’s Ambassador to Nepal, Thomas Prinz, the German Ambassador to Nepal, and Thouraya Triki, the Director of the EU Investment Bank, jointly inaugurated the substations.

The Trishuli 3B Hub Station, covering an area of 104 ropanis of land (one ropani is equivalent to 5476 sq feet), incurred a cost of Rs. 1.97 billion, while the total cost of the Bhalche substation is Rs. 429 million.

The electrification program, including the Bhalche substation and the 33 kV transmission line, amounts to NPR 429.3 million.

It is reported that over 2,000 households in Nuwakot and Rasuwa will benefit from these substations.
