Resignation of President’s economic expert Chirinjibi Nepal accepted



KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel’s economic expert, Chirinjibi Nepal, has tendered his resignation.

The President’s Office issued a statement on Sunday, confirming the acceptance of Nepal’s resignation.

Chirinjibi Nepal had voiced dissatisfaction with the government’s decision to feature the ‘chukche’ map (new map of Nepal) on the Rs 100 note.

Following the controversy surrounding his remarks, President Poudel interrogated Nepal, ultimately leading to his resignation.
