KATHMANDU: General Secretary of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), commented on the outcomes of the Ilam-2 by-election today, acknowledging a deviation from anticipated voting patterns.

In a statement, Dr. Dhakal affirmed the party’s commitment to respecting the electorate’s decision in Ilam-2, pledging a thorough examination of the election results during the forthcoming Central Committee meeting.

Regardless of the outcome’s alignment with the party’s interests, RSP emphasized its enduring dedication to honoring the democratic process and the expressed will of the people.

Dr. Dhakal remarked, “We heeded the signal bell, though it sounded belatedly.”

Meanwhile, RSP extended congratulations to CPN-UML candidate Suhang Nemwang for securing victory in the by-election, expressing hopes for a successful tenure in fulfilling the electorate’s expectations.
