Parliament obstruction will persist unless formation of probe committee on Home Minister’s alleged fraud: Dr. Shekhar Koirala

ILAM: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala has warned that his party will continue to obstruct parliament unless a parliamentary probe committee is formed to investigate Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane’s alleged involvement in cooperative fraud.

Addressing a program in Ilam on Tuesday, Dr. Koirala questioned the government’s reluctance to establish a parliamentary investigation committee to probe Lamichhane’s alleged role in the fraud.

“Cast your votes responsibly, elect NC candidate Dhambar Khadka to represent you, and I will take responsibility for the development of Ilam-2,” he affirmed.

Dr. Koirala emphasized that NC was the first party to raise the issue of identity, recognizing the importance of representation.

He underscored the importance of addressing issues concerning tea exports, ensuring equitable wages and rights for tea garden workers, and advocating for their welfare.
