Former President Bhandari awarded ‘Rastriya Gaurav” medal



KATHMANDU: Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari has been honored with the prestigious “Rastriya Gaurav” (National Pride) medal by the CPN-UML on the occasion of the party’s Diamond Jubilee.

UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli presented the medal to former President Bhandari during a program in Godavari, Lalitpur.

The decision to bestow this honor upon Bhandari was made during the meeting of the CPN-UML’s National Convention Representative Council, which concluded on Sunday.

In recognition of her significant contributions to both the democratic movement and the communist movement, the CPN-UML decided to honor former President Bhandari with the honor.
