KATHMANDU: Singer Rabi Oad faces accusations of marital rape, according to recent reports.
Rabi Oad gained prominence as a Nepalese singer, actor, and dancer after clinching the title in the second season of the Nepalese TV series Nepal Idol.
The complaint was lodged by Oad’s wife on April 2 at the Area Police Office Jalhari, as confirmed by Inspector Pushkat Pant, spokesperson at the District Police Office, Kanchanpur.
Inspector Pant stated, “An arrest warrant has been issued, and further investigation is ongoing.”
It’s been revealed that Oad is currently abroad for his musical engagements.
