Gagan Thapa’s ‘Sambad Yatra’ kicks off from Nawalparasi

KATHMANDU: The second phase of Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Gagan Thapa’s ‘Sambad Yatra’ commenced from Gaurigunj in Nawalparasi.

Thapa inaugurated the journey by adorning the statue of BP Koirala with garlands at the local square this morning.

Previously, the ‘Sambad Yatra’, which embarked from Mechi Bridge in Jhapa came to a halt upon reaching Gopigunj in Nawalparasi.

According to Nepali Congress central member Ajay Babu Siwakoti, the second leg of the ‘Sambad Yatra’ will unfold over the next three days, traversing various locales of Nawalparasi, Rupandehi, Kapilvastu, Dang, and Banke.

During this journey, Thapa will engage in dialogue with locals, attentively listening to their concerns.

Thapa will depart from Nawalparasi to Rupandehi following the route via Patkhauli to the district party office, continuing the ‘Sambad Yatra’s’ trajectory along the postal route.

En route, he is scheduled to engage with industrialists in Bhairahawa and delve into local issues upon reaching Bethri.
