Five die in Achham tractor accident

KATHMANDU: Five people from the same ward died in a tractor accident in a tractor accident in Syudi of Achham.

According to reports from the local police, the accident occurred on Monday morning, claiming the lives of five individuals and injuring three others.

Police said that the accident involved a tractor, which was traveling from Melekh towards Sanfebagar, and occurred near Syudi on the rural road section.

DSP Santosh Pathak, Chief of District Police Office Achham, confirmed the identities of the deceased individuals.

The deceased have been identified as Ranga Dhami, Prem Dhami, Nar Bahadur Dhami, Janak Dhami, and Janak Dhami, all from Melekh Rural Municipality-7.

Similarly, Lal Bahadur Dhami and Hans Dhami, along with another child whose name remains undisclosed, sustained injuries in the accident.

The injured individuals were transported to Bayalpata Hospital for medical treatment, police said.
