HoR meeting delayed, engages in talks with Nepali Congress

KATHMANDU: The scheduled meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) has been postponed for a brief period as Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal initiates discussions with leaders of the Nepali Congress.

The delay comes as PM Dahal is expected to address lawmakers’ queries during the session.

Sources indicate that the prime minister’s engagement with Nepali Congress leaders has led to the postponement of the meeting.

“We are currently awaiting further updates as PM Dahal is reportedly in discussions with members of the Nepali Congress,” a lawmaker informed Khabarhub.

The Nepali Congress, the main opposition party, has been vocal in its demand for the resignation of Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane over allegations of involvement in a cooperative fraud case.
