Scattered rain expected in Gandaki, winds in Lumbini

KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecast Division has indicated a partial influence of the western low-pressure system coupled with local air patterns across Nepal.

Currently, the weather is predominantly clear across the nation, while the hilly regions experience partial cloud cover.

In the hilly areas of Gandaki Province, light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning has been reported in isolated spots.

This afternoon, the Division has predicted clear conditions in the hilly regions, extending to Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces.

However, scattered to light rain may occur in select areas of Gandaki Province, including Sudurpaschim and Karnali Provinces.

Furthermore, there’s a likelihood of light snowfall in certain locales within Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Additionally, gusty winds may manifest in parts of the Lumbini Province, posing potential storm conditions.

As night falls, the weather is expected to maintain its clarity in the hilly regions, with slight variations elsewhere in the country.

Light snowfall might occur in a few spots within the high hills and Himalayan areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali regions.
