Koshi province government makes various decisions



BIRATNAGAR: The Koshi province government has decided to extend the term of the employees working on contract basis in the province.

A meeting of the Koshi Province Council of Ministers held on Wednesday decided to bear the medical expenses of people suffering burn injuries in the recent incidents of fire in Morang and Jhapa.

It has also decided to approve the ‘agenda’ presented by the Ministry of Social Development and to sanction the budget the same Ministry sought for organizing the inter-provincial sports tournament.

Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, who is also the spokesperson for the provincial government, said the government is holding talks with the struggle committee on the topic of the province’s naming, and it will take appropriate decision after discussing the issues that come up during the talks.
