KATHMANDU: Nepal has established a target of 173 runs for the Netherlands to chase in their ICC CWC League 2 encounter.

Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, the Netherlands restricted Nepal to a total of 172 runs, with all wickets falling in 49.3 overs of play at the TU International Cricket Ground on Sunday.

Kushal Bhurtel led Nepal’s batting charge, registering his eighth ODI half-century with a score of 66 runs.

Additionally, contributions from Karan KC, Aarif Sheikh, and Rohit Poudel added 26, 22, and 16 runs respectively to Nepal’s total.

VJ Kingma and Aryan Dutt emerged as standout bowlers for the Netherlands, each claiming three wickets apiece.

Now, Nepal’s bowlers will aim to defend their target and secure victory in this crucial match.
