Nepal witnessing varied weather conditions today



KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has reported a partial influence of the westerly low-pressure wind system currently affecting Nepal.

As of now, the weather remains predominantly clear in the hilly regions of the country, encompassing Lumbini and Gandaki provinces.

The rest of the nation is experiencing generally clear conditions.

This afternoon, the hilly areas of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces are expected to be partly to mostly cloudy.

Furthermore, there is a likelihood of light snowfall in specific locations within Gandaki, Karnali, and the high hilly and Himalayan areas of the Sudurpaschim Province.

As night falls, cloud cover is anticipated across the entire country, with the possibility of light snowfall in select areas of the high hills and Himalayan regions of the Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces.

The Weather Forecasting Division has advised people to take necessary precautions due to the potential impacts on daily life, including agriculture, health, tourism, mountain climbing, as well as road and air transport, all of which may be affected by rain, snow, and cold temperatures.
