PM didn’t meet RAW Chief: Minister Baskota

KATHMANDU: Government Spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gokul Baskota has said that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli didn’t meet Samant Goel, Chief of Indian Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).

Speaking at a regular press briefing on Thursday, Minister Baskota said that he was unaware of India’s foreign intelligence agency chief meeting the top-notch leader of the major political parties in Nepal.

“I am unaware of RAW Chief visiting Nepal,” Minister Baskota said, “I don’t think PM met him. I am unaware of other leaders meeting him too.”

He, however, said that such meetings if held will be held in line within a diplomatic protocol, adding that meeting RAW Chief doesn’t mean being inclined to the Indian intelligence agency.
