KATHMANDU: In a spirited second inning, Nepal showcased their prowess by reaching the milestone of 100 runs within the first powerplay against the Netherlands, albeit losing just one wicket in the process.

Having won the toss earlier, Nepal opted to field first and executed their plans flawlessly, limiting the Netherlands to a modest total of 137 runs in 39 overs.

Among the standout performances for Nepal, Kushal Bhurtel contributed significantly with a resilient knock of 28 runs.

At present, the duo of Aasif Sheik and Anil Shah is commanding the crease with impressive individual scores of 43 and 35 runs respectively, steering Nepal towards a promising position in the match.

As the game unfolds at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Nepal’s formidable batting lineup continues to exert pressure on the Netherlands, setting the stage for an exhilarating encounter in the ICC CWC League 2.
