Nepal elects to bat first against Namibia in ICC CWC League 2 opener

KATHMANDU: The ICC CWC League 2 commenced with Nepal losing the toss and getting invitation to bat first against Namibia in the tournament opener.

The thrilling encounter is taking place at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kathmandu, marking the initiation of selection matches for the upcoming ICC World Cup slated for 2027.

Nepal proudly hosts the ICC Men’s CWC League 2 from February 15th to February 25th, with Namibia and Netherlands joining in the competitive games.

In a recent update to the squad, CAN has introduced two changes, namely Dev Khanal and Anil Shah, both of whom exhibited outstanding performances in the recent ODI series against Canada.

The ICC League 2 features participation from eight countries, including Nepal, Netherlands, Namibia, Canada, Oman, Scotland, the UAE, and the USA.
