Chitwan hosting National Tea Exhibition and Tasting program

CHITWAN: The National Tea and Coffee Development Board, in collaboration with the Chitwan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, supported by Bharatpur Metropolitan City, and with the cooperation of various organizations in the tea sector, is set to host a two-day National Tea Exhibition and Tea Tasting Program along the banks of the Narayani River starting today.

Organizers shared details of the event scheduled for February 9 and 10.

The exhibition aims to showcase Nepali tea and various tea brands produced in the country, offering visitors the opportunity to taste them for free.

The program is designed to promote the consumption of domestically produced tea, impart information on its health benefits, cultivate a tea culture that encourages the correct consumption of tea, and advocate for the country’s self-sufficiency in tea production.

The main slogan emphasizes the virtues of consuming locally produced tea for a healthier, prosperous, and self-reliant nation.

This second national tea exhibition, attended by tea traders from across Nepal, marks the first time the event is being hosted in Chitwan.

It will showcase teas from key districts, including Jhapa, Ilam, Dhankuta, Tehrathum, Bhojpur, Sankhuwasabha, Panchthar, Sindhupalchok, Lalitpur, and Kaski.
